No account required. Manual tools work offline after first load; AI scanner requires internet.

## What This App Does

SplashLens is a Progressive Web App that pool service technicians use poolside to:
- Look up equipment codes, symptoms, and field checks (21 brand/system groups, 230+ current entries in the app database)
- Calculate chemical doses (FC, pH, alkalinity, calcium, CYA, salt, SLAM)
- Identify pool parts by camera using AI (PartSnap)
- Read test strips via AI camera scan
- Track multi-day SLAM treatments through OCLT completion
- Reference filter procedures (sand, DE, cartridge)
- Run opening, closing, weekly, and monthly service checklists
- Track route progress for the day

Manual lookup, calculators, guides, checklists, and route tools work offline after the first load. AI camera scanning requires internet.

## How the AI Scanner Works

Three camera modes:
1. Error Scan - aim at an equipment error display; AI attempts to read the code and return a reference-style summary
2. PartSnap - aim at a pool part; AI attempts to identify manufacturer, model, OEM part number, and useful search terms
3. Test Strip - aim at a wet test strip; AI estimates FC/pH/TA/CH/CYA ranges for field triage

Backend: Cloudflare Pages Function to Anthropic Claude Haiku vision. Error-code scanning can fall back to browser TextDetector or manual entry offline; PartSnap and test-strip analysis require internet. AI scanner output is reference assistance only and should be verified against equipment manuals, calibrated tests, and field judgment.
